National Carriers is pleased to name Ina Marinelli as Driver of the Month for December 2018. She is an exceptionally safe and on-time driver with no accidents or incidents. Marinelli joined NCI in 2012 and delivers freight within the 48 state fleet. In addition to a $1,000 Driver of the Month bonus, Marinelli is now a finalist for Driver of the Year and the accompanying $10,000 prize. National Carriers will name their Driver of the Year on April 5th at their annual banquet held in Arlington, Texas
“This has been a goal of mine since I began driving at National Carriers. I would walk past the area in the offices that feature the current Drivers of the Month and imagine my photograph being displayed. I am not at ease with the attention, so this recognition is uncomfortable yet very gratifying. The best thing about driving truck at National Carriers is the family atmosphere. I feel like I am part of something bigger than myself. I want National Carriers to love me of me as I love them.”
Ina went on to say that her driver manager, load planners, and their supervisors are instrumental in her success. Driving a 2018 Kenworth T-680 with an automatic transmission, she enjoys the amenities such as the refrigerator/freezer, auxiliary power unit, invertor, and extra storage areas. National Carriers is owned by National Beef Packers, one of the largest beef processors in the United States.
National Carriers, Inc. spokesperson, Ed Kentner, said, “Ina has had a very positive impact within our firm since she began at National. Her upbeat attitude and “can do” spirit has helped her elevate to the top of our professional drivers. Whether training new drivers, delivering freight, or protecting the public safety while driving, she has excelled. We are pleased to recognize her efforts with this award.”
